Rolling back (cancelling) a project
When a sample project has been run and output produced, but no emails have been sent and interviewing has not yet begun, you may decide to cancel it. To do this you ‘roll back’ and delete the sample project job from the Q_Panel database as though it had never been submitted. This frees up the panellists who were selected for that sample project and deletes the project.
Rollback can only be performed if no emails have been sent out AND no outcome codes have been fed back for the sample project. This information can be seen on the Samples list view.
Rollback and delete are combined in a single function in Q_Panel. If you need to keep a copy of the sample project use the Copy function in the toolbar to make a new draft copy before using Rollback.
In the Samples view, select the sample project to be rolled back. Provided that the project has all of its outcomes still outstanding and the Emailed indicator is not ticked, the Rollback option in the Sample Action dropdown list is available.
Click on Rollback to display the Submit Rollback dialog.
Click Submit and monitor the job’s progress on the Job Queue until finished. When you refresh the Samples view the sample project has been deleted.
If a sample project has been run Report Only it can be deleted simply by using the Delete button on the toolbar as no panellists have yet been selected.
