How to create a workflow

A data management workflow is a sequence of data management tools that can refine one or more data sets from raw data into a format that suits your needs better. It can consist of one single tool or it can have several sequential tools stored as an executable program.

You may store intermediate results as data sets, or you can let the output from one tool become the input into the next tool without having to save the result. In such cases, remember to run the tool once before you create the next one.

To create a workflow, select the data management tab on your project page and select the “Add New” button. You may also create a workflow directly by selecting the first tool you want to use in the workflow.

Give the workflow an appropriate name.
