Setting permissions for the Security menu v7.04
The security group functions that control access to the Security menu are as follows:
Allow user to view Database Manager | Administration(Global)/Security/Database |
Allow user to modify database details (description, security groups) | Administration(Global)/Security/Database/Modify |
Allow user to view Group Manager | Administration(Global)/Security/Group |
Allow user to create new security groups | Administration(Global)/Security/Group/New |
Allow user to modify security groups | Administration(Global)/Security/Group/Modify |
Allow user to delete security groups | Administration(Global)/Security/Group/Delete |
Allow user to view Licence Manager | Administration(Global)/Security/Licence |
Allow user to update the Q_Panel licence | Administration(Global)/Security/Licence/New |
Allow user to view User Manager | Administration(Global)/Security/User |
Allow user to create new Q_Panel users | Administration(Global)/Security/User/New |
Allow user to modify Q_Panel users | Administration(Global)/Security/User/Modify |
Allow user to delete Q_Panel users | Administration(Global)/Security/User/Delete |
Some of the above security functions may also allow users to access other areas of the system. When setting up security groups, it recommended that you log in as a user with access to the new security group to ensure it has been set up as required. Functions that the user does not have access to will either be hidden or will display an error message if the user attempts to use them. If a user is a member of more than one security group they may have access to other functions through the other groups.
