Using named dimensions

You may want to save some of the dimensions you have defined in Sample Manager as named dimensions for use in later prototypes or samples.  This can be done using the Save As button.

Select the dimension(s) you wish to save by ticking the checkbox next to its name, then select the Save As button. 

More than one dimension can be selected and saved as a single named dimension.

You must give the dimension a name.  Ideally the name should describe the dimension.

Click OK to save the named dimension.

To use a named dimension in a prototype or sample it can be selected from the Choose Dimension dialog when adding a new dimension using the Add button.

Expand the Named Dimensions folder to see the named dimensions available.  Select the required dimension and click on OK to add it to the sample.

Named dimensions may be maintained using Dimension Manager within the Maintenance menu.
