Adding event type localisations

To add an event type localisation, open the Community/Event Type Manager and click on Localisation in the toolbar to display the Event Type Localisation Manager screen.

Select the culture from the drop-down list (in this example French-France).

Select the event type to be localised by clicking on the event type description, or by checking the box next to the event type and selecting Properties from the toolbar.  The Event Type Localisation dialog box will be shown.

This dialog box shows the event type description for the default culture in a read-only text box.  In the localisation field enter the localised version of the event type for the selected culture.  This is a mandatory field.

Click OK to save the localisation, or Cancel to exit without making any changes.  Any localisations added will be displayed on the Event Type Localisation Manager screen next to the default event type description.

To add localisations for another culture select a new culture from the Culture drop-down list and repeat the process.

To finish adding localisations click on the Close button.

If the panellist with the preferred culture French-France now logs on to Q_Community to look at their event history, they will see the French-France localisations for these event types.  All other event types will still display the default description.

Deleting Event Type Localisations

To delete a localisation, click on Localisation in the toolbar to display the Event Type Localisation Manager screen and select the required culture from the Culture drop-down list.  Select an event type that has a localisation by checking the box next to its description and click on Delete in the toolbar.

The localised description will be deleted for the selected event type, and the default event type description will again be displayed for panellists using this culture.

Only one event type localisation can be deleted at a time.
