Using more than one language in Q_Community

If your installation of Q_Community supports more than one culture (or language) then the localisations (or translations) for prizes, profilers and event types and messages may be set up using the Localisation function within each maintenance tool.  Within Kentico email templates and UI culture strings may also need to be localised.

In Q_Panel:

  1. add cultures using Culture Manager...
  2. add localisations for prizes, see Adding prize localisations...
  3. add localisations for profilers, see Adding profiler localisations...
  4. add localisations for event types, see Adding event type localisations...
  5. add localisations for messages, see Adding message localisations...
  6. add localisations for questions and answers using Question Group Manager...

In Kentico:

  1. add email template localisations, see Managing emails in Kentico 7... or Managing emails in Kentico 9...
  2. add UI culture localisations, see Managing content in Kentico 7... or Managing content in Kentico 9...

When prizes, profilers, event types, messages, questions and answers are created they use the default culture (usually English).  Whenever a panellist using a different culture is using Q_Community they will see the localised versions, if available, for their preferred culture.  If no localisation exists for their preferred culture then the default will be used.

Panellists preferred culture is selected when they register to use Q_Community.
